This blog started in 2009 as a story of fashion and floofy, material things. Along the way, almost every single thing in my life has changed. I used to work in fashion merchandising and PR, where my days were filled with constipated inboxes, Vogue and Starbucks — now I’ve traded it in for green juice, barbells, personal development books, and the freedom to design my own life. Seee-yaaa skinny models and over-priced caftans. Hellooo bacon and bumper plates.
Over two years ago, I became terribly sick. My digestion was a trainwreck, my hormones a rollercoaster, my seasonal allergies debilitating, and depression was lingering. All of this I endured for well over a year, and it was a very dark one. After cycling through almost every exercise program found in fitness mags (I’m talkin’ bikram yoga, barre, spin classes, Nike Training Camp, P90X, Insanity…. you get it), I found CrossFit in October of 2012, and in the “box” I finally found a place where intensity and being stronger than most boys was not only accepted, it was encouraged. I found a place I could be me, hot mess and all. Still, I was searching for answers in doctors, both traditional and holistic, with no success. I tested almost a dozen dietary theories on myself (turns out I’m no vegan), yet found no sustainable healing. It wasn’t until I was introduced to the philosophy and formulations of world-renowned naturopath Dr. Lindsey Duncan in October of 2013 that I found relief. And when I say relief, I actually mean glowing, total mind, body and soul renewal. In just 2 1/2 weeks, my body began the journey of total restoration and healing.
I am now 100% medication free, symptom free, healthier, and stronger than I’ve ever been in my entire life. Now I’m blessed to live an incredibly happy, healthy life, that is sustainable and more abundant than ever before, both in health and in wealth! This is the life I want to share with YOU!
